📌Cooperation between ONEU and the University of Aberystwyth

between ONEU and the University of Aberystwyth

At the initiative of Cormack Consultancy Group ONEU became part of the Twinning program, which provides for the establishment of close partnerships and support by British higher education institutions for Ukrainian higher education institutions. In the conditions of open military aggression by the Russian Federation, Ukrainian higher education institutions, in particular ONEU, found themselves in the need to find ways to survive. Reduced budget funding and student solvency, the departure of many teachers and students abroad, the need to increase attention to safety, moral and psychological pressure on university staff – all this undermines the great importance of support offered by the twinning program initiated by Cormack Consultancy Group, and the University of Aberystwyth for ONEU.

ONEU’s partner is the University of Aberystwyth, a university with a 150-year history and significant achievements in economic education and research.

As a result of the first meeting between ONEU and the University of Aberystwyth, preliminary agreements werereachedon cooperation in the following areas:

🔹Summer schools or Island programmes;

🔹Sending Odesa academics to Aberystwyth to have a base in a safe country to deliver online teaching to displaced students;

🔹Cooperation in research;

🔹Access to library and online databases to allow ONEU to continue with research and developing teaching;

🔹Access to Aberystwyth online courses, so students who could study in English could join some courses and receive credits which will be recognised by ONEU and added to the student’s transcript;

🔹Linking student union;

🔹Technical support;

🔹Development of English language skills.

We hope for the beginning of long-termand fruitful cooperation.
